Having a positive mindset in this era’s booming and stressful environment can make a big impact on a person’s well-being. With all the negative energies coming from stress from work, pollution, interpersonal misunderstandings and physical hindrances, a person cannot do so much without an optimistic mind.

Positivity is the over-all positive state of the mind and our attitude. It is a way of living wherein one looks forward to the best outcome in his life. When a person encounters a problem or obstacle, positivity gives power to that person to bring his mind into expecting success and overcoming that problem no matter what hardships he or she may go through.

Also known as optimism, many people with different lifestyles can back the idea that having a positive thinking can bring a good meaning to their lives. Positivity erases the negative feelings in a person and enhances the good attributes that are important. It fuels the energy in someone who is feeling low, it enhances one’s self-esteem and self-confidence. With a positive mind, we can welcome our daily tasks and problems with a sense of happiness, goodness, and success.

Practicing a positive mind can be instilled in growing up children. It is much important that children practice optimism as they learn the different aspects of this life to help them become better people. And since this community we live in is composed of individual persons, having a cheerful community can also bring about abundance in our place.

There are different ways to guide your child into growing with a positive mind, may it be at home or at school.  One way is to express love, affection, and support to your children. Making them feel that they are not alone and that someone looks forward to their success are some ways to encourage a positive mind.  Appreciate their success and confirming the things that they have done that is good.  Another way is to share happy moments together. This way a happy child will most likely experience fewer frustrations even in his down times. A good way to create positivity to your child is through helping others. Giving out a helping hand to his classmates or his teachers and then receive nothing but gratitude molds his mind that giving out something out of nothing molds his mind that happiness is also achieved in helping others. Do not allow your child to be exposed to an environment that is full of stress. Long-term exposure in such areas can cause depression and anxiety to your kids, this, in turn, will inhibit the growth of their self-esteem.

Although negative thoughts are also as important with the positive ones, one must not be basking in it for a long time. Negativity is also an important experience for your child. The feeling of being down in his younger age trains your child of his coping skills with stress and other difficult times. Proper guidance of the parents is most important in the growth of the child.
